Lill-Gøril Seljelv
She has a Master of Science degree in Physics from the Norwegian Institute of Technology in Trondheim in 1989.
Lill-Gøril worked for Tromsø Satellite Station from 1989 to 2002. She held different positions within system engineering, sales and marketing, business development and quality assurance for earth observation, products and services.
In 2000 she entered the management team as Quality Manager. Lill-Gøril was for several years' part of a project team working to develop an oil spill detection service based on using Synthetic Aperture Radar (SAR) satellites for remote sensing of the marine environment. The service was developed in close cooperation with pollution control authorities in Norway and other European countries. Her first experience with the oil exploration business was as Sales Manager for natural seepage studies based on satellite data observations.
From 2002-2007 she worked as Project Manager and Quality and Security Manager for Kongsberg Satellite Services providing on-ground services to satellite owners and operators from all over the world. Lill-Gøril was in charge of several infrastructure projects at Svalbard and in Antarctica, and has through these projects gained extensive international experience dealing with customers from both Europe and the US. She was also responsible for establishing and implementing the company's Quality Management System that was certified according to the ISO 9001 standard in 2003.
