Vidar Kolstad

 Vidar has a Cand. Scient . degree in Geology from the University of Tromsø where he graduated in 1996. After a year as a scientific assistant at the University of Tromsø he joined Norsk Hydro in Harstad working as an exploration geologist and seismic interpreter in the Norwegian Sea.  Here he was involved in the regional evaluation of the deep water areas including an active role in 16^th and 17^th concession round block evaluations. 

In 2004 he joined GeoGuppen AS in Tromsø (now Acona Geoservice),  working as a consultant and  geological supervisor, and was responsible for client and project coordination.  

Vidar started working for Discover Petroleum in 2006 where his main focus has been on exploration of the Norwegian Sea, including prospect evaluation and licensing round applications. He is also member of the Management Committee, of our Norwegian Sea license assets.
