Best HSE Practice meeting
HSE managers and advisors from 18 small and medium sized oil and gas companies met to discuss the challenges associated with petroleum activities in environmental sensitive areas in general and in the High North in particular.
Akvaplan-niva, Kongsberg Satellite Services, the Norwegian Pollution Control Authority and AGR Petroleum Services were invited to give presentations and introductions related to environmental constraints, research, monitoring and requirements for operational petroleum activities in the sensitive areas of the High North.
The Forum discussed these issues as well as suggestions for further cooperation between the members on related activities.
The Forum for Best HSE Practice was established in 2003 as a network for licensees on the Norwegian Continental Shelf. The objective of the Forum is to strengthen each participant's ability to obtain best HSE practice and good HSE results through sharing information, experience and methodologies. The Forum currently has members from 23 oil and gas companies
