Front Exploration AS has submitted the application for the 21. Round on the Norwegian Continental Shelf.

"We have focused the application on a limited number of blocks in the Barents Sea, Exploration Manager Vidar Kolstad quotes". The company has worked systematically with the evaluation of the announced blocks for a long period, and the application area have a very interesting hydrocarbon potential. "The company has acquired exclusive high quality electromagnetic data across specific prospects, and the results has revealed a strong evidence of oil or gas present in the reservoir, Mr. Kolstad continues". Front Exploration holds 11 licenses on the Norwegian Shelf, and is preparing for 2 exploration drillings (as partner) in 2011. "There is a strong motivation in the company to continue to build a high quality portfolio in the "High North", and the objective for the 21. Round is therefore to be awarded the highest prioritised areas, Kolstad concludes".
