Front Exploration nominates new blocks

Today the Norwegian Ministry of Petroleum and Energy received Front Exploration’s proposals regarding which areas that ought to be included when the authorities later this year will announce new licenses for activity on the Norwegian continental shelf.
“We have identified several exciting areas where we believe the potential for value creation in the North is significant, given that the petroleum industry is granted access to these areas”, states exploration manager in Front Exploration AS, Arild Ingebrigtsen.
It is in connection with the 22nd licensing round that Norwegian oil companies are invited to nominate blocks. The final announcement is due later this year, and the new production licenses are to be awarded winter 2013.
