Nomination 20. round areas

Discover Petroleum AS was one of 46 other companies which has nominated areas for the 20. round application on the Norwegian Continental Shelf.

The blocks were published by the Ministry of Oil and Energy (MOE) last week (see http://www.oed.no/).

The announcement of new licenses is anticipated during spring 2008, and the award will take place 2Q 2009 according to the MOE. "Discover Petroleum AS has dedicated a team which now is working actively with interpretation and analysis of potential 20. round blocks," the Exploration manager Yngve Vassmyr quotes.
